Developing Skills to Enter the Workforce
Because so many Native communities experience unemployment rates that greatly exceed the rest of the nation, there have not been very many opportunities for Native people to gain experience in the work place. However, more and more Native entrepreneurs are starting businesses and creating jobs. With this trend underway, our Native youth must gain valuable work experience and skills to keep growing our economies in the future.

Four Bands Community Fund’s Youth Entrepreneur Internship Program helps high school students develop valuable life skills and prepare for a successful adult life. This comprehensive program provides opportunities for participants to build a solid work ethic, establish a regular pattern of saving, achieve asset-based savings goals, and gain essential knowledge on personal finance, customer service, and asset-building skills.
